We're telling you here and now, wine-o-clock and cocktail hour never ended, not when you have your Zoom parties and your group chats at your beck and call! Since you loved out fave weekly smoothie recipes, we're putting on our dancing heels and bringing you our top fave cocktails to enjoy in the comfort of your home... but with a difference.
Cutting down on calories doesn't have to mean cutting out alcohol entirely. You read correctly- these cocktails are LOW CALORIE! We're sticking to soda water mixes, high proof spirits (we're getting turnt tonight girls), fresh fruits, honey, and herbs. No sugar traps I nsight, and easy to recreate at home if you have a mixer, stirrer or shaker at hand.

Classic Hot Toddy
Ideal for the coming winter or if you're stuck indoors with a head cold, a Hot Toddy is the very definition of a wholesome autumn/winter drink. You can enjoy it whenever you want, including bundled up in your pj's and blankets.
Ingredients
¾ cup water
1 ½ ounces or two shots of your favourite whiskey or rum
2 - 3 teaspoons of honey/maple syrup to taste
3 -4 teaspoons of lemon juice
1 lemon, sliced
1 cinnamon stick (optional)
In a cooking pot, bring the water to a simmer and pour the hot into serving mugs. Add a shot (or two!) of whiskey or rum, the honey and lemon juice for flavour. Adjust the number of teaspoons if you prefer a sweeter or more tart taste. Garnish the Hot Toddy with a slice of lemon and a cinnamon stick. Stir and enjoy! For a vegan option, swap out the honey for thick maple syrup.

Tommy's Margarita
A healthy but just as enjoyable version of the classic Margarita, zesty, tangy and fresh!
Ingredients
2 shots of tequila (agave)
1 shot of freshly squeezed lime juice
Salt for the rim
1/2 shot of agave syrup
3 dashes of orange bitters
Shake ALL ingredients with ice (crushed is optional), until well combined. Strain into a chilled glass and decorate the rim with salt.

Low Carb Espresso Martini
Your ultimate coffee 'fix but without the guilty carbs with it! It tastes just as decadent.
Ingredients
45ml of Vodka
1 shot of espresso
1 teaspoon of instant coffee (option)
1 teaspoon of cacao powder unsweetened
30ml of cream
30ml of low carb simple syrup
Coffee beans for garnish
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker over ice. Shake well until well mixed and strain into a cold glass. Want it sugar-free? Swap out the cream and mix in 30ml of sugar-free coffee liqueur.

Cucumber & Elderflower Cocktail
So zesty. Eyes on paradise with this refreshing beverage!
Ingredients
30ml gin
7.5ml elderflower liqueur
22ml bianco vermouth
22ml lemon juice
4-5 slice of cucumber, quartered
1 egg white
Cucumber and lemon to zest
Carefully slice your cucumber into quarters, add them along with the gin, elderflower liqueur, vermouth, and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker. Mix well. Add the egg white and ice and shake until frothy. Double strain into a cold glass and let it settle. Zest lemon and cucumber on the top for garnish.

Golden Roots
Did someone say a vacay at home cuz' we're definitely getting this vibe from this tropical drink!
Ingredients
59ml vodka
22ml HG Golden Roots syrup
30ml pineapple juice
14.5 ml lemon juice
Mint leaves for garnish
Add all ingredients to a shaker and whip shake, pour into a cold vessel and garnish with a mint sprig.

Sugarless Mojito
The classic Girls Night drink. An oldie but a goodie, a mojito never fails to brighten anyone's mood!
Ingredients
60ml of white rum
1 handful of fresh mint leaves
Lime (halved)
Club soda / soda water
1 sprig mint, for garnish
Ice cubes
In a tall chilled glass, first pour rum. Shred and break mint leaves before combining with rum. Juice half of the lime into the beverage. Top with ice, fill with soda water and add a sprig of mint.

Coconut & Lychee Side Car
Love the finer things in life? You'll love this fancy cocktail!
Ingredients
45ml of cognac
22ml of Coconut & Lychee liqueur
22ml lemon juice
Lychee for garnish.
Rim a cocktail glass with sugar. Set aside for later use. Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into sugar-crusted glass. Serve with lychee on a cocktail pick.

Ingredients
60ml of scotch
Soda water
Lemon peel
Ice cubes
Pour scotch over large cubes of ice. Top with soda water. Garnish with lemon peel.

Feeling glam? Queen Bees will love this sassy city-slicker drink. It's like a cosmo but better!
Ingredients
1 oz orange liqueur
1 oz pomegranate vodka
1 lime
Pomegranate fruit to garnish
Combine all in a shaker filled with ice. Shake thoroughly until well combined. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with lime slices or pomegranate seeds.

In a minty kind of mood? This beverage has fewer calories but is just as tasty and zesty as the original!
Ingredients
Fresh mint
1 teaspoon powdered sugar (fewer calories than simple syrup)
Crushed ice
45ml bourbon
1 tablespoon water
Shred mint and place with 1 tsp powdered sugar in the bottom of a glass. Mix together. Add crushed ice generously, followed by bourbon, and water. Stir well Garnish with mint.

Ingredients
A glass of very chilled white wine
A glass of very chilled club soda
Slice of Lime
Pour wine to fill half the glass. Add club soda. Garnish with lime on the rim.

30ml of vodka
60ml of orange juice
118ml seltzer
Ice
Drop ice in 240ml glass. Combine vodka and orange juice. Fill remainder with seltzer.

Refreshing, delicious and feels super healthy when you drink it! Maybe because it has apple juice in it?
Ingredients
Freshly squeezed apple juice
60ml of vodka / rum
Ice cubes (optional)
Pour vodka into a tall chilled glass with ice cubes. (optional) Fill with apple juice and stir well. Enjoy! Don't like vodka? Swap it out for white or spiced rum!
